Each stay is scored out of 10 in six categories, for a maximum of 60 points.

- Animals on premises
- Authentic farm experiences
- Renovated or modern rooms
- Near a lake or swimming option
- Positive reviews
Research method
I cross-checked official Allgaeu family-farm directories, host sites, public review pages, and Booking where available. Scores use explicit evidence first; where needed, lake proximity and room freshness are reasoned from host descriptions and location.
This version expands the comparison to 20 candidates. Quote sourcing now leans on Google-review mirrors, Booking, HolidayCheck, and host testimonial pages; Reddit turned out sparse for property-specific Allgaeu farmstay discussion. Lake proximity is now tightened with a Google Maps nearest-lake-or-swim-spot sweep rather than description-only inference.
